PC Leader Says Premier Should Not Dictate Terms Before He Sits Down With Saint John Council On Fair Taxation Issue

PC Leader Blaine Higgs says as Premier he would more than willing to talk to Saint John Council about its fair taxation concerns.

Higgs made the comments following the Premier’s non-election call announcement on Monday.

Higgs says Brian Gallant should not be telling any group what is or isn’t off the table, before they even sit down and meet.

Gallant told reporters he had already met with Saint John Council about it wanting a new deal, however this was before the fair taxation report was unveiled at the last council meeting.
