Nine young people have been determined to be the firebugs responsible for blazes over the last month or so involving the destruction of portable toilets at various locations throughout the Kennebecasis Valley.
The Kennebecasis Regional Police say one of these fires resulted in a major fire at the Fairvale Elementary School in Rothesay at the beginning of this month which led to the total destruction of two portable classrooms, 25 bales of shredde rubber supposed to be used for the playground surface along with what’s been described as “significant contents.”
Police say the boys will be dealt with through the Youth Criminal Justice Act and the Crown will determine the charges.
