In New Brunswick Senior baseball the Saint John Alpines start playoffs later this week. The fifth place Alpines will tangle with the fourth place Moncton FisherCats in a best of three series opening Thursday night in Moncton. Game two is Friday in the Port City at Memorial and if a game three is necessary it will be played Sunday in Moncton. The winner of this series will face regular season champions the Fredericton Royals while Chatham and Charlottetown playoff in the other round.
