Police Find Man Accused Of Carrying Gun While Walking To Blacks Harbour

No offence has been committed.
That word from Charlotte County Police after a manhunt in Blacks Harbour this week.
RCMP say thanks to many tips from the public, they were able to identify the suspicious man who was supposedly carrying a rifle while walking the Mountain Road towards Blacks Harbour.
Wednesday evening, Police got the report and quickly set up road blocks, brought in the police dog, and conducted extensive searches — with no results.
They also received a second sighting of a man who was walking in the Utopia area carrying a supposed rifle and baseball bat. Extensive searches were done there as well, with, again, no results, and finally called off the search aroun 9pm Wednesday night.
Now, St. George RCMP also confirm the man was not carrying a rifle — but was carrying a pellet gun.
They say no charges will be laid as no offence has been committed.
