Saint John police have arrested a 45-year-old man for dangerous driving, assault with a weapon and threats after an incident that started at a Tim Horton’s moving to the causeway.
It was reported that the man approached two other men at the Tim’s on Bayside Drive and asked for money. He then followed them, driving erratically into the oncoming lane of traffic on the causeway, threw a hammer out the window and threatened them. Police stopped the vehicle on Westmorland Road and arrested the man.
As well, surveillance video is also being reviewed after a break and enter at the Stu Hurley Arena canteen. $3-400 worth of chips, chocolate bars and pop have been reported missing.
