UPDATE: 2 Arrested After Standoff Near Fredericton

Police say two people have been arrested after an overnight standoff in a small village near Fredericton.

RCMP Cpl. Jullie Rogers-Marsh said police were called to an incident involving a firearm on Route 101 in Tracy shortly after midnight Wednesday night.

Rogers-Marsh said when officers arrived at a home, the two people inside refused to cooperate.

She said Route 101 was closed and a nearby residence was evacuated as a precaution.

Rogers-Marsh said a man and a woman were arrested around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. There is no word yet if they will face any charges.
