Police seek suspects after Saint John robbery

Saint John police are looking for two suspects after a robbery over the weekend.

Police said a woman driving in Haymarket Square was struck by another vehicle around 3 p.m. Saturday.

She told investigators that the white sedan followed her as she pulled into a parking lot on Lake Drive.

“One man and one woman got out of the vehicle and approached the victim’s vehicle. There was a struggle and the woman’s purse was stolen,” police said in a news release.

The suspects are described as being in their 40s, according to the news release.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with video footage or surveillance of the incident to contact the Saint John Police Force at 506-648-3333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
