It’s hard to believe that it’s almost flu season.
The season normally runs from the beginning of November until March or April, depending on the severity of the flu.
Pharmacist Scott Cameron says they’re trying to determine exactly what kind of flu season it will be this year, “This year we are looking at Australia right now, they’re having a more severe flu season than what they’ve had in years previous, so there’s a bit of concern that Canada may have a more severe flu season.”
Symptoms of the flu include headache, sore throat, along with muscle and body aches. Sometimes a person may also experience vomiting and diarrhoea.
You can decrease your chances of getting it, by being vaccinated with a flu shot, and also by practicing good hand hygiene.
