The provincial government has created a climate change committee to oversee implementation of the climate change action plan to transition to a low carbon economy. The committee will be chaired by Premier Brian Gallant.
Prime Minister Trudeau sees carbon pricing as a way to open up new economic opportunities. He points to B-C as an example where carbon pricing is working well and where the economy has become more innovative.
It’s estimated there are at least half a million clean energy jobs in California, ten times the number of jobs in the coal industry.
