Province To Free Up More Land For Syrup Producers

New Brunswick is the third-largest maple syrup producer in the world—and the Department of Natural Resources is freeing up 4,000 hectares of crown forests for use by the industry.

The DNR has posted a request for proposals online. Tthe new allotment is a 41 per cent increase compared to what is already being used.
