It was a record year for moose hunting in the province, according to preliminary figures.
3801 moose were bagged this season. That’s 11 per cent more than 2016, and it is also the most moose harvested since the season re-opened in 1960.
Moose hunting season last five days and wrapped up on September 30th.
Weather conditions were favourable for the 4735 hunters who were awarded licenses this year
