Saint John May Have Broken Record For Snow

With the latest storm yesterday, Saint John may have established a new record for snowfall during the winter.

As of March 13th, Saint John had received 395 centimeters of snow and Environment Canada tells us 36 centimeters fell from late Saturday night into this morning.

We’re now on the back end of the storm with flurries but with the high winds, there’s a lot of blowing snow. Visibility is reduced and traffic conditions are slippery, even on the main streets.

We’re told the winds will remain strong this morning, begin to diminish this afternoon before becoming light tonight.
