“The phone rings and you’re jumping almost every time because you’re hoping ya know.”
That is George Naves of Saint John describing how his family is dealing with the disappearance of their 24-year-old son Gregg who was living in Calgary.
He tells our newsroom that Gregg suffered a downward spiral in the fall when he lost his job and home and started using a drug known as “purple lean” which includes cough syrup.
He says based on advice from the Calgary police, they plan to set up a reward seeking information on Gregg’s location.
“The people he was hanging around are in the drug scene so, the idea behind this is they won’t talk unless they see cash” Naves said, “so we’re gonna offer a $1000 reward for information leading to finding Greg.”
A Facebook group called “Find Gregg Naves” has nearly 1000 members.
