Recently, Krista has been delighted to see amazing photos of Saint John popping up in her feed. Earlier in January, she reached out to Andrew Miller to compliment him on his extraordinary photos and ask permission to share some of them here on the community portal.
Not only are Andrew’s pictures breathtaking, so are the descriptions that he posts with them. Proud to be a lifelong advocate of Saint John, it’s easy to see this reflected in what he shares – visually and verbally.
From January 2, 2026:
A fresh snowfall has a way of pressing reset on everything.
This pedestrian overpass uptown is quiet, clean, untouched and feels like a pause between where we’ve been and where we’re headed.
A new year often looks like this.
The path ahead is clear, but not yet marked.
You can’t see every step, only the direction.
You move forward anyway, one foot in front of the other, trusting that the journey matters.
I’ve always believed progress happens this way and not in giant leaps, but in steady, deliberate crossings. Showing up. Doing the work. Making sure the path is safe, accessible, and open for everyone who needs to use it.
As this year unfolds, I’m choosing to keep walking forward with purpose, listening closely, and taking on the work ahead with care and determination.
Here’s to new journeys, fresh starts, and building better crossings together.
