Saint John Police arrested an 18-year-old male for possession and use of a firearm on Friday night.
Police say they responded to a call in Flemming Court of a male with a weapon, who later fled by vehicle with a female passenger.
The vehicle and suspects were located shortly after on Technology Drive after officers performed a “high risk stop.”
Officers could not locate the firearm in the vehicle. K9 units were called in, and found it in a wooded area near the car.
The woman was deemed uninvolved and was not charged. The male was arrested and charged.
He appeared in court Sunday morning.
