In “Q” Action

Thomas Chabot scored the game winning goal in overtime sending the Saint John Sea Dogs to the second round of the playoffs. The Sea Dogs defeated the Acadia-Bathurst Titan 4-1 in the best of seven series.

In the NHL

The Boston Bruins beat the St. Louis Blues 6-5, the Winnipeg Jets fell in overtime to the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4, the Vancouver Canucks taking a 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks, the Washington Capitals doubled up on the Colorado Avalanche 4-2 and the Detroit Red Wings winning 3-2 over the Minnesota Wild.

In the NBA

The Toronto Raptors beat the Memphis Grizzlies 99-95 and the Golden State Warrior’s NBA-record home win streak ends at 54 after being upset by the Boston Celtics 109-106. It’s the Warrior’s first home loss since Jan. 2015

The Senior Curling Championships underway today in Digby, Nova Scotia.

In Women’s action Nova Scotia plays Alberta and Saskatchewan takes on Ontario. In the Men’s division BC takes on Ontario and Nova Scotia plays Manitoba.
