Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Much Of N.B.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for much of New Brunswick.

The areas not under the watch include the Greater Saint John, Moncton, Sussex, Grand Manan, and coastal Charlotte County areas.

Environment Canada says the right conditions are in place for severe thunderstorms to develop which could bring strong winds, large hail and heavy rain.

The weather agency says these conditions will continue into this evening.

4:15PM UPDATE: Environment Canada has added Bathurst, Miramichi and the Acadian Peninsula to the list of areas under the watch.
