Spencer West Offers Inspirational Message To NBCC Students

Spencer West spent some time in New Brunswick this week, with an inspirational message to the students at NBCC campuses across the province..

He lost both legs due to a genetic disease…at just 5 years old. His family was told that he would probably never be a functioning member of society, but they set out to prove the doctors wrong.

He now spends his time motivating others to overcome their challenges, “As human beings, everyone is going to face some sort of challenge. Mine are physical and you can actually see them, but everyone has them and I think they are all relative to the individual situation. The lessons I have learned so far can help you with those specific things.”

West climbed Mount Kilimanjaro on his hands and in his wheelchair…He has also completed a 300 kilometre trek from Edmonton to Calgary.

Spencer spends a lot of his time speaking to audiences around the world and facilitating trips in Free The Children communities teaching others how to transform lives.
