A couple of guys on the West side found themselves outmatched when it came to weapons on Saturday night.
Around 11 pm, two men knocked on the door of a George Street home and when a man opened the door, the men pushed past him and his girlfriend where a struggle took place in a bedroom.
The homeowner had a large samurai sword and two men had a pocket knife.
The man told police he fought them off and a neighbour helped to chase them away and another neighbour followed them down the street.
No one would give a statement to police and police are not aware of any injuries.
The forensic identification section processed the scene and the investigation remains open.
