Canada has bragging rights again after winning gold at the World Junior hockey championship in Buffalo, New York.
Forward Tyler Steenbergen, who didn’t play much during the tourney, broke a tie in the third as Team Canada went on to beat Sweden 3-1.
It’s the 17th gold medal for Canada in the history of the tournament.

In the NHL, the Pens shut out the Islanders 4-zip, the Sens over the Sharks 6-5 in OT, the Golden Knights beat the Blackhawks 5-4, the Sabres fell to the Jets4-3 and Detroit doubled Florida 4-2.

NBA Action, the Raptors beat the Bucs 129 to 110, the Heat downed the Knicks 107-103 in overtime, the Hornets over the LA Lakers 108-94.
