The 2017 Cruise Ship Season Includes 12 Double Ship Days And Starts in April

The first cruise ship of the 2017 season arrives on April 27th with the arrival of Holland America’s Veendam.

When the last ship departs on November 1st a total of 66 ships will have visited Port Saint John bringing 144,000 passengers and 57,000 crew.

Port president and CEO Jim Quinn the new cruise ship season is similar to last year in terms of ships and visitors.

Quinn says this shows a stabilization of the cruise traffic adding it’s great news for Southern New Brunswick and it’s many tourism-related businesses.

The 2017 cruise ship season features 12 double ship days between September and October.

It also includes four triple ship days between September 27 and October 17th.

The Disney Magic returns for two calls and the Vision of the Seas make it’s inaugural call to Saint John.
