The Bitterly Cold Weather Will Stay With Us

The Weather Network is reporting the North Pole is warmer than many parts of Canada with bitterly cold temperatures being reported right across the country and New Brunswick is no exception.

Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement warning this cold Arctic airmass will linger today and tomorrow. The cold temperatures combined with moderate to strong westerly winds will result in wind chills ranging from minus 29 in the southern part of the province to minus 34 in the northwest.

It’s expected the cold weather will continue more or less until the middle of next week.

Meantime, as of early this morning more than 77 hundred homes and businesses in Nova Scotia are still without power in the aftermath of the strong winds on Christmas Day.
