The businesses that make up the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce are encouraged to take part in a new letter-writing opposing proposed changes to the Federal tax policy.
The Chamber thinks these changes could have significant impacts on provincial businesses by heightening the impact on family-run businesses and possibly raising taxes.
CEO David Duplisea says they have heard loud and clear from their members that this is an ill-conceived tax grab.
To make things easy for everyone, the Chamber has included a link on their website allowing people to just point and click to send an email to their MP.
In previous letter-writing campaign, 14,000 letters were sent so Duplisea hopes this campaign will be as successful and allow MP’s take their concerns back to Ottawa.

Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long said last week that he is happy to discuss this subject but he asks that people book an appointment with his office to come in and discuss the proposed tax changes. The number is 506-658-2500
