In a new twist this year, the traditional planting of marigolds along Main Street north is happening at the end of the event.
Regional planting began earlier this month at various schools and locations between Sussex and St. Stephen.

Organizers decided to delay planting until tomorrow because June can be cold in Saint John.
Students will begin the trek to Main street north at 930 tomorrow morning for the ceremony at McDonald’s at 10am.
A few awards will be given out and then the students will start getting their hands dirty as they plant marigolds in the median.
Main Street north will be closed between Lansdowne Avenue and Simonds Street for about 3 hours from 9am to Noon tomorrow
