Goin’ down the road for jobs has been a fact of life for decades in Atlantic Canada but with the energy boom out west, the exodus has become greater. Amy Webber of Fusion in Saint John warns we could be facing a severe shortage of skilled workers down the road.
She says its no shock to anyone that we have an aging population and we don’t have enough youth to fill those jobs.
The Atlantic Provinces Economic Council reports three of the four provinces in Atlantic Canada did not experience any job growth during the first half of this year.
