Three Fire Departments Battle Blaze For Over 8 Hours

Just before 7 on Friday night, fire crews from Musquash were called to a house fire on the Little Lepreau Road.

Thick black smoke was coming from the back of the building and firefighters were told two people were at home when the fire started but they got out safely.

Fire crews began battling the fire but it quickly jumped to the second floor and firefighters were pulled out of the building as its structural integrity was deteriorating.

Crews remained on scene for about 8 hours and received help from fire departments in Blacks Harbour and St. George.

The Mounties and paramedics were on scene but no injuries were reported.
