A heavy rainfall warning is in effect, which could cause flooding in many areas across the province.
Some areas in New Brunswick could be hit with over 100mm of rain before Monday.
A spokesperson for Aviva Insurance Glenn Cooper says you’ll want to make sure you don’t leave any valuables in your basement.
If you notice water pooling in certain areas around the foundation of your home, try your best to clear it away.
Cooper says you’ll want to have an exit plan just in case.
He says always keep safety first but says you should turn your electrical and furnace off if water starts to come inside your home.
#RIVERWATCH Significant rainfall to continue today and water levels will continue to rise.
