In the NHL playoffs, Troy Brouwer scored awkwardly in the third period after the puck went off the post and it was the game winner as St. Louis eliminates Chicago in 7 games, 3-2.

There will be a game 7 in the series between Nashville and Anaheim after the Predators win 3-1.

The Sea Dogs host Shawinigan tonight in game three of their third round series which is tied at a game each. Gametime is 7:00. Game 4 goes tomorrow night at Harbour Station.

In the Majors, Todd Frazier doubled home the go ahead run in a five run seventh inning as the Chicago White Sox rallied to beat the Blue Jays 7-5.Rick Porcello improved to 4 and 0 after combining with three relievers on a four hitter and Jackie Bradley Jr. hit his first homer as the Red Sox shut out Atlanta 1-0. The Yankees downed Texas 3-1 as they got solo homers from Jacoby Ellsbury and Starlin Castro. In other play, it was Tampa Bay 2 Baltimore 0….New York Mets 5 Cincinnati 3…Detroit 7 Oakland 3….Minnesota 4 Cleveland 3…..Pittsburgh 6 Colorado 1….Arizona 12 St. Louis 7…..Los Angeles Angels 6 Kansas City 1….Seattle 3 Houston 2…..Miami 3 Los Angeles Dodgers 2 and San Francisco 5 San Diego 4.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will have to serve his four game suspension for what has come to be known as “Deflategate”. A U.S. federal appeals court concluded Brady ‘most likely’ ordered the Patriots’ equipment staff to deflate footballs below the minimum level.

In the NBA playoffs, Oklahoma City 118 Dallas 104 to win 4 games to 1. Charlotte 89 Miami 85 to tie the series at 2 games each and Portland 98 Los Angeles Clippers 84 to tie the series at 2 games a piece. The Clippers have lost Chris Paul, likely for the rest of the playoffs, after he fractured a bone in his shooting hand. Golden State’s Stephen Curry will be out for the next two weeks because of a sprain after falling on the court awkwardly.
