The NFL is investigating whether the New England Patriots intentionally deflated footballs during their victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Sunday’s rain-soaked AFC Championship Game. An under inflated football could be easier to grip and catch. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady laughed when asked about the report, calling it ridiculous.

In the NBA, Kyle Lowry scored 18 points and was one of six Toronto players to reach double figures in the Raptors’ 92-89 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. The Raptors had been on a two game losing streak and had lost 7 of their past 9 games.
The Saint John Mill Rats have placed League MVP Anthony Anderson on Injured Reserve and signed 6’5 guard Keith Cothran in his place. Cothran averaged 14 points a game at the University of Rhode Island in his senior season.
