Two Stabbings In City

Saint John Police investigating two stabbings with one described as being “very, very serious” along with three domestic disturbances and one man arrested for threatening his wife.

They’re also investigating a single vehicle rollover that happened at the intersection of Latimore Lake Road and Hickey Road. One person was taken to hospital for observation.

The first stabbing occurred on Sherbrooke Street shortly after 8:30 last night. A man was taken to the Regional Hospital where he’s listed in critical condition. No one has been arrested and Major Crime has taken over the investigation.

Police were called to the Latimore Lake Community Centre at around 4:00 this morning where a man had suffered a stab wound to his chest. He was taken to hospital to be treated and is expected to be released. No one has been arrested.

Police set up a roadside check on Rothesay Avenue but report no drunk drivers were picked up in spite of the New Year’s celebrations.
