After three months of little change, employment acrss the country increased by 41 thousand in March to lower the unemployment rate to 7.1 per cent.
Employment increased for men and women aged 25 to 54 with little change in the other demographic groups.
There was a loss of 600 jobs in New Brunswick last month to raise the unemployment rate to 10.2 per cent.
There was no change in Saint John with the uemployment rate remaining at 8.3 per cent. The jobless rate rose in Moncton from 6.6 to 6.9 per cent.
