UPDATE: Justice May Be Coming For The Crate Cats and Dog

Nearly a year later, there may be justice for more than a dozen cats found partially buried in a small dog crate on the West side.
All but one cat died.

In late August of 2015, Melody McElman of Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue told us the animals would have suffered for a long time.

The outrage spread far and wide as people learned of this ugly incident prompting the group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to put up a reward of $5000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.

A woman facing charges relating to the death of the animals is due in court today.

Just one cat survived the ordeal-a boy named Fanceen. He is now known as Lucky and was adopted last year by the family who fostered him.
