We might never know the circumstances that led to the deaths of a couple from the Saint John area at Lake Louise with police in Alberta reporting dentist Dr. Cindy McCormick was murdered. Her body was discovered in the Chateau Lake Louise.
Local 771 of the International Firefighters Association earlier announced the death of Robert “Bobby” Kaine. He joined the Saint John Fire Department in 1988 and later became the fire prevention officer.
Meantime, the New Brunswick Dental Society is mourning the death of Dr. McCormick who practiced in Saint John for over 15 years and served on the Society’s Board of Directors. An autopsy was conducted and the medical examiner concluded the cause of death was homicide.
Investigators from the RCMP Major Crimes Unit say they have collected sufficient evidence to determine the two deaths are related to one another and no other suspects are being sought. Police say the body of a 52 year man was found in a vehicle west of Lake Louise after the discovery of Dr. McCormick in the hotel and there’s no risk to the public at large.
