Plans to privatise the management of hospital food, cleaning and patient transportation are running into more opposition. This time from the C-E-O of the Vitalitie Health Network, Gilles Langteigne.
The Conservative M-L-A for Fredericton West-Hanwell has picked up on that. Brian MacDonald accuses Health Minister Victor Boudreau of riding roughshod over Vitalitie’s Board of Directors. hE questions why the board is there at all if it isn’t going to be listened to.
Langteigne argues Vitalitie made a proposal last year it claims could save the government more money than what Sodexo, the French multi-national company, guarantees. He also is worried about the effect on patients.
