Weather Network Unveils Summer Preview

Spring officially arrives later this month but the Weather Network is already giving us a sneak peek of summer.

Meteorologist Michael Carter says the warm weather expected for later this spring should continue into the summer.

“Upcoming compared to last summer, I think we are going to see mild conditions continue. Maybe not quite the extreme heat of last summer and the extreme dryness,” he notes.

Even though the water surrounding the Maritimes is warmer than normal, Carter believes it should be a fairly quiet season for tropical storm activity.

He adds that will be largely due to another El Nino weather event which is expected later this summer.
