Wednesday Is Earth Day

Celebrations will be held Wednesday in recognition of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

But due to COVID-19 restrictions, those events will be held virtually.

This year’s goal was to encourage Canadians to take action for the government as a part of their daily lives.

There are online events planned in Canada and the United States.

Earth Day is observed in around 190 countries and by close to 100,000 organizations.
