Worksafe NB is investigating the death of a worker in the forestry industry earlier this week.
In a statement “WorkSafeNB confirmed the workplace fatality on JD Irving freehold land about 40 km from Saint-Léonard on Wednesday.
A contractor was killed when the truck he was driving left a woods road. WorkSafeNB is investigating.
Meantime, in a statement from JDI, spokesperson Mary Keith says “Out of respect for the family, the name of the driver is being withheld, and that thoughts and prayers are with the family of this driver at this difficult time.
Keith says ” He was well respected and a friend to many in its woods operations.”
