YMCA hopes to raise $625K in Strong Communities Campaign

The YMCA of Greater Saint John has launched its annual Strong Communities Campaign.

It is an opportunity to raise for those who face financial barriers in accessing Y programming.

That includes summer camping, licensed child care, youth mental health support, recreational programs, programs for seniors, and health and fitness memberships.

This year’s goal, announced on Friday, is $625,000. That is up from the $525,000 goal last year.

Officials say they hope to help more than 3,000 people in the community as part of this year’s campaign.

The YMCA of Greater Saint John serves Saint John, Kings and Charlotte counties.
