Maureen Nelda Warwick Obituary
Maureen Warwick (née Small), age 94, died very peacefully on December 28, 2025 at Shannex Cohen Hall Nursing Home. Maureen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and will be missed dearly by all. Her grandchildren, great-nephews and great-nieces will remember her for the many events she held at her “farmhouse” and for her very lively personality.
Maureen was born in Woodwards Cove, Grand Manan, NB to parents Robert and Ina (née McAllan) Small. Her husband Arthur Warwick preceded her in death in 2019. She leaves behind her daughters, Roxanne (Peter) Clancy and Angela Saunders. She will be missed by grandchildren, Jason (Kristen) Saunders, Devin Saunders, Dwayne Saunders, Olivia Clancy, Lauren Young and Connor Clancy. Maureen will also be missed by her nephew and nieces, Stephen (Patricia) Lord, Heather (Robert) MacKinnon and Dawn (Neil) Holmen.
Maureen graduated from Saint John High and then received her New Brunswick Teachers College certificate, later furthering her education with a BEd from UNB. After being a stay-at-home mother, she taught Special Education in the Saint John area. In retirement, she frequently travelled with her husband spending time in Australia, New Zealand and Argentina.
Many thanks to the staff of the 6th and 7th floors of St. Joseph’s Hospital where she was cared for during the last year.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). In keeping with the family’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. The family will hold a graveside service at a later date.
