November 3, 1957 – April 25, 2026
With heavy hearts, the family of Flo Whittaker announce her unexpected passing at home on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Born March 11,1957, in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Allan “Gommer” and Betty (Ryan) Whittaker.
Flo loved to bake, sew, and garden. She loved her extended family, but she especially loved her sons and was so proud of her grandchildren. She was an active member in the community on the Kingston Volunteer Ambulance, as well as ran the Westfield Country Store for years before retiring from her job as Clerk at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Flo was a ground-breaker and a very strong-willed person- very common traits in the Whittaker line. We will remember the best of times and the amazing gift she brought to us all.
Flo is survived by her sons, David Crowe (Lydia) and Brian Crowe (Heidi Dennis); grandchildren: Logan (Emma), William (Buffy), Emily, Josh, Ben, Dyllan Phillips, Seanna Phillips, Conner, Cally (Kyle), and Caleb (Jade); great-grandchildren: Timothy, Thomas, Delilah, Jensen, Roman, Maggie, and Delaney; brothers and sisters: Larry (Debbie), Linda, Peggy (John), Wendy (Michael), John, and Ken; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and special friends: Mary, Amanda , Bronwyn, Scott, and Robin.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Patsy.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), where visitation will take place Friday, May 1, 2026, from 1 to 3 pm. Interment will follow in Hardings Point Loyalist Cemetery.
For those who wish, remembrances to St. John Ambulance, Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
