This year, Krista has been delighted to see amazing photos of Saint John popping up in her feed. Earlier in 2026, she reached out to Andrew Miller to compliment him on his extraordinary photos and ask permission to share some of them here on the community portal.
Not only are Andrew’s pictures breathtaking, so are the descriptions that he posts with them. Proud to be a lifelong advocate of Saint John, it’s easy to see this reflected in what he shares – visually and verbally.
From May 18, 2026:
I have taken tons of pictures of this scene of our city framed by the bridge and every one of them is beautiful, unique, and different.
I feel the same way about people. We all have a unique beauty that makes us different, and that should be recognized and appreciated. Too often, we try to fit someone else’s definition of who we should be, or believe things are only beautiful if we see them from another person’s angle or point of view.
We don’t need to blindly follow the opinions of churches, politicians, groups, friends, or even family to find love or self-worth. We just need to look inward, find our true selves, and focus on putting more love out into the world.
I get that we are all struggling in ways that are not always obvious to those around us, and some of us are not comfortable sharing our pain or where it comes from and that’s okay. Let’s just focus on the good in each other and acknowledge its beauty the same way we do that of a cityscape
