Three men in their 20s believed to be responsible for an attempted theft from a flooded home in the Maugerville area have been arrested.
It was just before 7 am Sunday morning the RCMP, with the help of Oromocto Fire and members of the provincial department of Justice and Public Safety, arrested the men who were in a canoe.
Police had earlier received a report that three men in a canoe had broken into a home in the flood zone and the owner was inside at the time.
Nobody was hurt and no items were taken.
The men remain in custody.
