It was fine on May 16 and reduced to ash and rubble by Victoria Day.
A couple from Woodstock lost a hunting camp they had for a decade to fire and it could be arson.
Gilles Senechal’s camp was located on the Pokiok Settlement Road between Dumfries and Kings Landing.
It was his son who found what was left of the hunting camp on Monday.
“When he got there it was just burned to the ground,” says Senechal.
His son posted pictures on Facebook and he’s hoping someone knows something about what happened.
“That will never give me my camp back but at least they can find the guy who did it, maybe prevent some other people from losing their property,” Senechal says.
Senechal and his wife are planning to retire in the next few years and were looking forward to spending more time at the camp. You can see photos of the property, before and after the fire, below:
