NDP Calling For Change With Motor Vehicle Inspections

The Provincial NDP is calling for motor vehicle inspections to be done every two years instead of annually as well as banning the use of your credit score as a way of deciding how much you should pay for auto and home insurance.

Party leader Dominic Cardy says using credit scores discriminates against low income earners and those people who have gone through a bad stretch because of losing a job or getting a divorce.

Cardy also says businesses that operate a fleet of vehicles should be able to register them all at the same time to make life easier.
