167 years ago this month, a Saint John-made ship called The Sea landed in the Port City, unfortunately, several of the passengers died on Partridge Island.
There’s a chance to learn more about the ship on a walking tour today according to Deputy Mayor Shelley Rinehart. She says she learned a bit more about the vessel from visiting Australian research Bob Mackenzie.
The tour meets at the Goss statue at Market Square at 3:30pm today along the Harbour Passage. Harold Wright, David Gosss, and Bob Mackenzie will be hosting.
