The Under-14 Eastern Canadian Fastpitch Softball Championships is underway in Quispamsis.
The K-V Girls Softball Association winning the bid to host the event which will bring teams from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, P-E-I, Newfoundland & Labrador, Quebec and Ontario to the area. Association President Kelly Lynch says 12 teams will participate with the event expected to bring about 6 hundred visitors to the Quispamsis area.
The primary field will be Meenan’s Cove with Walter Jewett as the secondary field and Centennial Field as the back-up.
