The fire department’s budget is expected to be talked about tomorrow morning at a special meeting of Common Council.
The President of local 771 of the International Association of Firefighters, Paul Stackhouse argues the fire department is operating at bare bones right now after the cuts that were implemented in 1993 and the coverage is below what it should be.
Stackhouse says the mood among firefighters in the city is one of nervous apprehension as they wait to see what Comon Council decides.
