Air Show set for Greater Moncton International Airport

The Greater Moncton International Airport is playing host to the Snowbirds and other aircraft today as they practice for this weekend’s Atlantic Canada International Air Show.

Last minute preparations for the air show are now underway

Executive Director Colin Stephenson says the weather outlook is almost perfect, “The clouds actually give a little bit better contrast as the aircraft moves through the sky, rather than blue sky. It’s a little different look, but it really gives a sensation of speed and it really looks great, so the weather we’re expecting is almost ideal.”

Stephenson is hoping for about 20-thousand spectators, and that doesn’t include tonight’s “Twilight Teaser” over the Petitcodiac River at 8pm.

The gates to the air show will open tomorrow at 10am.
