In an effort to prevent delays with mailing social assistance cheques, the Department of Social Development is making cheques available at designated sites around the province.
From 9am to 4pm on Thursday and Friday, you can pick up your cheques at many provincial locations including Sussex, Grand Manan and St. Stephen.
Cheques can also be picked up at speciific locations in Moncton, Saint John, Shediac, Richibucto and Sackville,
In order to pick up your cheque at these spots, you will need your health card and one of the piece of ID or two pieces of ID.
