A criminal responsibility assessment has been ordered for a man accused in an attack on a woman in Pennfield.
Brian Harold Smith is charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault stemming from an incident in Pennfield on April 21 where RCMP stopped an attack in progress.
A woman in her late fifties was taken to hospital and at last report, police said she was in serious but stable condition.
Smith is scheduled to be back in court on May 23.
